Eusebi in the West End celebrates the Italian summer with La Dolce Estate

For Glasgow's Italian food lovers, Eusebi has long been a West End favourite. This summer the award-winning restaurant and deli marked the season with La Dolce Estate, a celebration of the Italian summer lifestyle inspired by long family lunches, seasonal ingredients and shared plates.

At the heart of the campaign was an entirely new summer lunch and evening menu, created by co-founder Giovanna Eusebi with the restaurant's new head chef. It draws on summers spent with family in Lazio and the food memories that have shaped generations of the Eusebi family.

Dishes included Isle of Wight tomato salad with buffalo mozzarella, basil and aged balsamic, tuna crudo with nectarine and egg yolk, crab ravioli, and wild halibut with shellfish bisque. A dedicated aperitivo menu, served daily between 3pm and 5.30pm, offered crab arancini, fried gnocchi and the restaurant's own olives and giardiniera.

Eusebi also transformed its outdoor terrace into a summer destination, creating a relaxed setting for leisurely lunches, afternoon aperitivo and long evenings outside.

Giovanna Eusebi said La Dolce Estate is incredibly personal to her, with every dish inspired by memories of summers in Italy, gathered around tables filled with beautiful food, laughter and conversation that lasted for hours. Those experiences, she said, shaped her understanding of hospitality and the importance of bringing people together through food. The new menu celebrates the ingredients that define an Italian summer: vegetables, fresh herbs, olive oil, seafood, citrus and tomatoes at their best.

The family's heritage runs through everything Eusebi does. The restaurant describes itself as born in Italy and made in Glasgow, bringing a taste of Rome and Calabria to the West End with fresh pasta, bakery and daily market dishes. The sign above the door reads Food, Family, Life and Passion, a tribute to the grandparents' table in southern Italy that still inspires the menu.

Open seven days a week from 8am until late, Eusebi serves brunch, lunch, aperitivo and dinner, and also runs an online shop for those who want to take a little of the deli home.
