Go Wild Loch Lomond offers family-run treetop adventures by the loch

For families who like their days out with a dose of adventure, Go Wild Loch Lomond has plenty to offer. The proudly family-run business, based on Ben Lomond Way in Alexandria, near Loch Lomond Shores, promises a place where visitors become explorers and challenges become triumphs.
Its signature activity is the Tree Top Challenge, which takes adventurers up into the woodland canopy. Beyond the trees, visitors can try navigating a gorge, paddling across the loch and learning new outdoor skills, with every day offering the chance to grow, connect and discover.
During the October 2026 school holidays, Go Wild Loch Lomond was open throughout the break for treetop adventures, and from 12 to 16 October it ran its Kids Nature Club for children aged seven to 12 who love the outdoors. Participants worked towards their John Muir Award.
The centre is part of the cluster of attractions at and around Loch Lomond Shores in Balloch, where families can combine a morning in the trees with the SEA LIFE aquarium, the Loch Lomond Bird of Prey Centre, woodland walks, beaches and the regular Loch Lomond Shores market.
Go Wild Loch Lomond is currently open at weekends, with mid-week group bookings available by appointment, making it a popular option for school groups, clubs and parties as well as families.
The Kids Nature Club shows the centre's focus on helping young people build confidence outdoors, while mid-week group bookings by appointment mean schools, clubs and friends can enjoy the same adventures together.
With the loch on the doorstep and the national park all around, it is a great way to get children, and adults, off screens and into the fresh air.
Whether it is a first attempt at a treetop course or a full day of outdoor challenges, the emphasis is on having fun, building confidence and enjoying one of Scotland's most beautiful settings.
