ROAR Hair and Beauty in Strathbungo wins two national titles in one day

It was a day to remember for a Glasgow salon group. On 17 March 2026, ROAR Hair and Beauty claimed two top titles at industry awards ceremonies in London.

First, creative director Brian Leo McCallum was named UK Colour Expert at The Hair Awards, held at Sweeties at The Standard and sponsored by Revlon Professional. Later the same day, the ROAR team was awarded gold for Customer Service Salon at the Salon Business Awards at Sea Containers.

The double win was celebrated in the Scottish Parliament, where a motion said the awards reflect both Brian's individual skill and the collective expertise, creativity and dedication of the ROAR team. It also noted the group's history of success, including five major awards at the previous year's Salon Awards, and its commitment to professional education and mentoring emerging talent in hair and beauty.

ROAR was founded in 2017 by Brian Leo McCallum and now has salons in Strathbungo, Giffnock and Muirend. The team specialises in hair colour, balayage, blonding, colour correction, cutting and styling, and includes some of Scotland's most recognised colour specialists.
