Sebb's on Miller Street wins a Michelin Bib Gourmand in its first year

Glasgow's Miller Street has a new reason to be proud. Sebb's, the subterranean bar and restaurant that sits beneath Margo in the city centre, has been awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand, the guide's recognition for restaurants offering good food at a great price.
The news was announced in early February 2026, ahead of the Michelin Guide ceremony for Great Britain and Ireland in Dublin. It caps a remarkable first year for the venue, which was added to the Michelin Guide just five months after it launched in March 2025.
Sebb's is the latest project from Scoop Restaurants, the Glasgow group founded by chefs Jonathan MacDonald and Daniel Spurr, who opened Ox and Finch in 2014 and went on to launch Ka Pao and Margo. With Sebb's joining the list, the group now holds four Bib Gourmands across Ox and Finch, Margo, Ka Pao and Sebb's.
Seating 80 in total, the room pairs a serious cocktail list with a menu of punchy small plates, most of which feature ingredients cooked over an open flame. Dishes at launch included grilled Carlingford oysters with spiced lamb fat, hot hummus with grilled banana chilli and jerk-spiced pork neck with celeriac and apple.
In its write-up, the Michelin Guide described Sebb's as a place where inspiration comes from across the globe, adding that the drinks are as enticing as the food, with a stand-out cocktail selection.
Head chef Danny Carruthers, whose CV includes Brian Maule at Chardon d'Or, said the menu has been built by cooking food the team believes in and refining it week by week, service by service. He praised a kitchen team that is fully invested in what they have created together.
Jonathan MacDonald, managing director of Scoop Restaurants, said Sebb's had been a team effort from day one, with everyone pouring an enormous amount into how the space feels and how the food and drinks come together on a busy night. Seeing that work resonate beyond Glasgow, he said, means a great deal to everyone involved.
For a city that has steadily built a reputation for confident, good-value neighbourhood cooking, it is another welcome nod from the inspectors, and a sign that a basement on Miller Street has quickly become one of the most talked-about tables in town.
Sebb's is at 68 Miller Street, Glasgow, G1 1DT. Details of the menu and opening hours can be found through Scoop Restaurants and the venue's own social channels.
